Seattle’s LGBTQ+ nightlife spaces are diverse and rich in history, reflecting the communities they’ve served for decades. From the city’s earliest gay bars in Pioneer Square to the Capitol Hill “gayborhood,” these spaces remain a refuge for people of all gender expressions and identities, interwoven with the LGBTQ+ movement’s activist roots. 

June starts this weekend and with it comes Pride Month, a time for celebration of love in all forms throughout the city. That includes food, of course.

Pride 2025 is nearly here, and it’s more urgent than it’s been in a long time to show up and show support. One easy way to start is with celebratory food and beverages at LGBTQ+-owned restaurants, bars, bakeries, etc. all across Seattle.

Poquitos Seattle’s new executive chef, Rudy Riveron, brings more than two decades of experience to the Mexican restaurant in Capitol Hill, as well as a new “Ocho Hour.”

As Seattle restaurant groups are claiming a growing share of the city’s dining revenue, a new local food and drink conglomerate with deep connections to Capitol Hill — as well as Ballard, Bothell, Tacoma, Leavenworth, and, yes, Denver — has taken shape.
